TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: February 2026

By placing an order with MyTipi (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to the following terms.

1. OWNERSHIP & COPYRIGHT

All images, designs, written content, and materials remain the intellectual property of MyTipi and may not be reproduced, copied, or used without prior written permission.

2. PRODUCTS

All tipis are handmade to order.

Lead times vary depending on workload and material availability. Estimated delivery times will be confirmed at the time of order but are not guaranteed.

Tipis are temporary outdoor fabric structures and are not permanent buildings. They are designed to be durable; however, they cannot be guaranteed against all weather conditions.

Care, safety, and maintenance guidance will be provided. The client agrees to follow this guidance at all times.

3. SITE SUITABILITY & GROUND CONDITIONS

The client is responsible for ensuring that the site is suitable for erecting and securing a tipi.

This includes ensuring that the ground is:

• suitable for pegging and anchoring
• free from underground services such as pipes, cables, or irrigation systems
• free from obstructions including tree roots, buried structures, or hard surfaces that prevent safe anchoring

The client must ensure that any underground services are identified and clearly marked prior to installation.

MyTipi accepts no liability for damage to underground services, obstructions, or site conditions that were not disclosed or identified by the client.

If the ground or site is unsuitable for standard anchoring, alternative fixing methods may be required at additional cost.

4. DELIVERY, INSPECTION & ACCEPTANCE

The client must inspect all products upon delivery or collection.

Any missing items, defects, or transit damage must be reported in writing within 48 hours of receipt.

If no notification is received within this period, the products shall be deemed accepted as complete and in satisfactory condition.

Risk in the product passes to the client upon delivery or collection.

5. INSTALLATION & SELF-SETUP RESPONSIBILITY

Where installation is provided by MyTipi, this is carried out using standard industry methods.

Once installed, ongoing safety, monitoring, and maintenance remain the client’s responsibility.

Where tipis are supplied for self-installation:

• full instructions and guidance will be provided
• the client is responsible for erecting the structure safely and correctly
• suitable assistance, equipment, and anchoring must be used

MyTipi shall not be liable for injury, damage, or loss arising from:

• incorrect or unsafe erection
• failure to follow instructions
• inadequate anchoring
• unsuitable site conditions
• user error or negligence by the client or third parties

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by MyTipi’s negligence.

6. INSTALLATION DIFFICULTIES & SITE LIMITATIONS

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the site is suitable for erection.

If the client is unable to erect or use the tipi due to:

• unsuitable ground conditions
• restricted space
• environmental factors
• lack of assistance
• failure to follow instructions

this does not constitute a product fault and does not entitle the client to a refund.

7. CANVAS-ONLY PURCHASES

Where canvas is purchased without poles or structural components, the client is solely responsible for sourcing suitable poles and equipment.

MyTipi does not guarantee that poles or materials will be available in all locations.

It is the client’s responsibility to confirm they can obtain appropriate poles before placing an order.

Inability to source poles or erect the canvas due to lack of suitable components does not constitute a product fault and does not entitle the client to a refund.

8. WEATHER & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Tipis are outdoor fabric structures and may be affected by weather conditions.

MyTipi accepts no liability for damage, loss, or deterioration caused by:

• high winds or storms
• flooding or ground movement
• falling debris or environmental factors
• prolonged exposure to adverse weather

The client is responsible for monitoring weather conditions and taking appropriate safety precautions.

9. FIRE & HEAT SAFETY

If using firepits, stoves, heaters, or open flames within or near a tipi, the client must ensure appropriate safety precautions are taken.

Adequate ventilation must always be maintained.

A carbon monoxide alarm is strongly recommended when using any fuel-burning equipment.

10. PAYMENT TERMS

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production begins.

The remaining balance must be paid in full before delivery, collection, or installation.

Payments may be made via bank transfer, cheque, or another agreed method.

11. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

As tipis are bespoke, made-to-order items, they are non-refundable once production has commenced.

Deposits are non-refundable in all circumstances.

Orders may only be cancelled prior to production starting, at our discretion.

These terms do not affect statutory consumer rights where applicable.

12. SUITABILITY FOR PURPOSE

The client is responsible for ensuring that the product is suitable for their intended use, location, and conditions.

MyTipi shall not be liable where the product cannot be used due to site limitations, environmental conditions, local restrictions, or inability to obtain necessary equipment.

13. LIABILITY

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

Subject to this, MyTipi shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss, including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of use.

14. FORCE MAJEURE

MyTipi shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• extreme weather
• transport disruption
• supply shortages
• illness
• industrial action
• acts of third parties

15. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
